A unique and exciting new adventure is starting right now in San Sebastian (Basque Country, Spain) at the Donostia International Physics Center DIPC, opening a new quantum-gas research activity developing the next generation programmable optical tweezer setup with ultracold dysprosium to perform beyond state-of-the-art quantum simulation.
In collaboration with the Ikerbasque Basque Foundation for Science DIPC opens a Tenure-Track Research position as Ikerbasque Research Fellows to join the tweezer lab at DIPC to lead the scientific and technical development of this cutting-edge quantum experiment and to be strongly involved in defining the scientific strategy.
This research activities will be performed in close collaboration with the group of Prof. Ferlaino at the University of Innsbruck and the Institute of Quantum Optics and Quantum Information of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and will strongly benefit from synergies with local theory groups.
The position is open to researchers with more than 2 years of experimental post-doc experience in the field of ultracold quantum gases. The deadline for applications is the 27.03.2026.
