Two PhD positions in theoretical quantum optics: quantum links and non-local quantum many-body systems

Two fully funded PhD positions in theoretical quantum physics at CSIC in Madrid, with Prof. Juan José García Ripoll, on quantum links and non-local quantum many-body systems: quantum systems connected through photonic or microwave channels, and the physics that propagation delays, non-Markovian dynamics and strong light-matter interactions bring with them.

One contract belongs to QOQUT, a JAE Chair project run jointly with Prof. Peter Zoller and IQOQI Innsbruck, with visits there and to the wider QOQUT network. The other is an FPI grant under NONWED (Nonlocal Waveguide QED), four years at most, including a postdoctoral orientation period and one long funded stay.
